Independent Analyst Research Firm’s 2011 Report Includes Section on SaaS BI
WALTHAM, Mass., March 7, 2011 - Oco, Inc., announced today it has been included in Gartner, Inc.'s annual Business Intelligence Platforms Magic Quadrant Report.[1] The 2011 Gartner Business Intelligence Platforms Magic Quadrant is the first such report to include a separate section on Software-as-a-Service Business Intelligence (SaaS BI) offerings.
"Oco’s customer experience supports Gartner’s analysis in this year’s Business Intelligence Platforms Magic Quadrant that the demand for BI solutions is now being driven by ‘ease of use’ requirements and that business users are increasingly driving BI purchasing decisions," said William Copacino, president and CEO, Oco, Inc.
In its description of the appeal of SaaS BI, Gartner said, "Customers appreciate a quick time to value, lower upfront costs and the ability to leverage external expertise — business knowledge and/or technical skills — not available in-house." Oco was included in this "Other Vendors to Consider" section of the report.
“Customers of Oco’s SaaS BI solutions have gone ‘live’ in as little as a few weeks, achieved investment payback in their first 30 days and reduced their inventory by 17% in just four and one-half months,” Copacino added. "Oco customers are using our SaaS BI solutions to improve the quality of their operational business intelligence, economically deliver BI across their global operations, make BI securely available to their extended enterprises and provide a fast, low-risk path to mobile business intelligence."
The "Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms" report is available for purchase directly from Gartner.
